Will Harris: American Dwarf Goat. Small in stature, young, possesses traits typical of his species. Dreamy, stubborn, and goal-oriented by nature.
Jett Filmore: Panther. A tall, graceful black panther with a strong and imposing presence. Her personality seems like an arrogant bitch, but deep down she harbors a fear of losing her status.
Team "Spikes": Archie Everhardt: Indian Rhino. Huge and strong, but very family-oriented and caring, he wants to do the right thing for his daughters. Lenny Williamson: Giraffe. He is distinguished by his very tall stature, which gives him an advantage on the court. Modo Olachenko: Komodo Dragon. A charismatic and slightly eccentric character with a "European" accent (in the original), he often acts as the comic relief and "style icon" of the team. Olivia Burke: Ostrich. Very shy and insecure, heavily dependent on social media. He has a long neck and a typical ostrich appearance.
Maine (Gallop): Andalusian horse. Captain of the opposing team. A handsome, strong, and very self-confident horse, he is the main antagonist on the court.
Florence "Flo" Everson: Warthog. Owner of the Thorns. A shrewd and pragmatic businesswoman for whom sports is primarily a way to make money.
Dennis Cooper: The Trunk Monkey. The team's old and tired coach. He seems absent-minded, but is actually wise and helps the team come together.
