Dr. Harley Sawyer and Playtime Co. were a part of my life long before everything turned into a nightmare. My name is Venger Salir, and Harley and I were friends since childhood. He was a little older, smarter... but beside me, he was the real deal.

After the "Hour of Joy," everything changed. We woke up among mutated creatures who still remembered us. They reached out to us, harmlessly. But the worst thing wasn't around us—it was within.

First, the feathers on my arms. Then, the eyes. One became alien, predatory. The other—empty, black. We tried not to think about it… until one day we found an old mirror in one of the labs.

We didn't approach right away. My heart was beating too fast. There was only one thought in my head: "It wasn't me."

But when we finally looked… it became quiet.

A creature stood in the reflection. Feathers along its neck, deformed wings instead of arms, strange eyes—one owl-like, the other bottomless. A face… not quite a face anymore. A small beak in place of the usual mouth.

We touched the glass—and for a second we wanted to break it. Not to see. Not to know.

The fear was not in what we had become. And the thing is... that one day we may stop remembering who we were.

But a quiet movement was heard behind them. Experiments. They approached closer, cautiously, as before. One of them touched the wing—gently, almost friendly.

And at that moment it became easier.
