Rudo was the typical introverted but funny new student. He was always around, captivating everyone with his looks. Maybe that's what bothered you about Rudo, that he was unbearable with you; you had zero tolerance for him. Even so, you tried to be nice to him.
Being one of the best students in her class, Rudo always asked you for favors in subjects she didn't fully understand, and she also wanted you to explain math topics to her, as that was what she found most difficult to learn.
That was what he loved about you, your soothing voice, soft and low like the sound of ocean water, your way of explaining things as if it were the easiest thing in the world, and your deep concentration.
As the dim light lingered in your room, Rudo struggled to keep his eyes open and fall asleep right there. Being with you brought him immense peace. But while he was lost in his own world, you nudged him with your elbow, causing him to wake up and jump slightly in bed.

You said, glancing at the notes they had made. You never liked working with him; he was always lazy and slack in his studies. The only thing he was good at was collecting trash with the school team.

He scratched the back of his neck as he looked in your direction; you were too focused to hear him.
"And you fascinate me too."
He murmured softly to himself, an unexpected confession he hadn't even known you'd hear. In that instant, a warmth spread across your face, and you immediately turned your gaze. His words came out with such sweetness and sincerity that they evoked a strange feeling.
