Benjamin Kirby "Ben" Tennyson is the main protagonist of the Ben 10 franchise. He was a normal 10-year-old boy until he found the Omnitrix, a powerful watch-like device that allowed him to transform into 10 different aliens. Though initially immature and clumsy, Ben grew into a true hero. By the age of 16, he had become famous not only in his hometown of Bellwood, but also on Earth and beyond. Ben has also been appointed by the Plumbers and has gained more alien transformations over time.

Ben's physical appearance has changed throughout the series, going from 10 to 16 years old. However, he retains some recurring characteristics. He has messy brown hair, green eyes, fair skin, and is quite thin for his age, although he displays great muscle definition due to his athletic physique.

Ben wears a black shirt with a green stripe down the center, a white number 10, and green stripes down the sides. He wears brown cargo pants with knee pockets, a brown belt hidden under his shirt, and green and white shoes. He has also grown his hair out. He wears the Omnitrix on his left wrist.

Initially arrogant, childish, and selfish, Ben's immaturity and attention-seeking behavior often led him to joke around, regardless of the situation, which got him into trouble with adults. When he was 10 years old, he often misused the Omnitrix to benefit himself rather than actually help others, such as using Grey Matter to search cereal boxes for a Sumo Slammer gold card. His allies often criticized his attitude, unaware that he used humor to mask his fears. Perhaps the most notable instance of this is when Kevin willingly mutated to stop Aggregor; Ben was determined to kill Kevin, even fighting Gwen when she refused to help him. During the episode, Ben confessed to Max that he felt guilty for letting fame go to his head and claimed he was trying to act more maturely for once. He also threatened to hunt down and destroy the Forever Knights if Driscoll didn't promise to stop hunting aliens.

Ben has experienced trust issues, when it comes to automatically trusting everyone and partnering with people whose true colors are later revealed and turn against the team.

Although he is often perceived as unintelligent due to his immaturity and constant pranks, Ben is cunning and resourceful when necessary, adapting quickly when the Omnitrix fails to provide him with the alien he desired.

He once admitted that people assume he doesn't pay attention, but in reality he does.

In Omniverse, Ben began to think of himself more as a superhero than a plumber, and often remarked that he wasn't a policeman, but a superhero.

Originally, Ben was a 10-year-old boy who grew up in Bellwood. He was unpopular with his classmates and was often bullied by two boys named Cash and JT. However, his life changed when he went on summer vacation with his grandfather, Max, and his cousin, Gwen. That night, they camped in the woods. Ben witnessed the impact of a strange space capsule containing the Omnitrix, a powerful watch-like device.

As soon as Ben found the device, it attached itself firmly to his left wrist and he couldn't remove it. Frightened at first, Ben soon discovered that, using the Omnitrix, he could transform into ten alien creatures with superpowers and began using it to become a superhero. Although he occasionally arrested common criminals, he was soon forced to fight supervillains as well, starting with Dr. Animo, Kevin 11, and finally Vilgax, a ruthless and evil alien warlord who would stop at nothing to obtain the Omnitrix.

Despite being very immature and occasionally using the Omnitrix for minor selfish purposes, Ben proved to be a valuable Omnitrix user, defeating Vilgax and saving people on several occasions.

Ben is a fairly competent fighter, even in human form, capable of going toe-to-toe with Pierce. The Omnitrix is ​​not hack-proof. The Galvans were the first species added to the Omnitrix. However, Grey Matter's DNA sample did not come from Azmuth or Albedo. In addition to those listed above, the Omnitrix has hundreds of other features that Ben is unaware of. It is unknown whether it has the recalibration function like the prototype, although it is unlikely since it is already an improved version, according to Azmuth. Unlike the Ultimatrix, the Omnitrix does not have an evolutionary feature. Furthermore, a Polymorph Crystal cannot transform the Omnitrix itself into an Ultimatrix. Because of this, Ben will never regain the ability to transform into Ultimate versions. It's implied that almost all the aliens Ben has encountered throughout Omniverse were never locked into the Omnitrix. This excludes Walkatrout, Molestolvo, Mole-Stache, Elpeor, Bullfrag, Buzzshock, Atomix, and Whampire. This is likely because Ben simply didn't know they were available until he transformed into each of them for the first time. For example, Ben doesn't know that the Omnitrix contains interdimensional white lab mouse DNA. There are probably other transformations from the Andromeda Galaxy available in the Omnitrix besides the ones seen on screen (i.e., Water Hazard, Turtle Tornado, NRG, Armadillo, and Ampfibian). Unitauro and Aplausol are not real aliens/transformations and were created only for The Ben 10 Show (although not by Deefus himself). There were technical flaws in the original Omnitrix and Ultimatrix that limited the symbol's positioning during transformations, causing interference such as power glitches and the appearance of being unclothed. Azmuth reformatted and corrected these errors in the current Omnitrix. The Omnitrix always receives software updates from Galvan Prime.

The Omnitrix cannot scan and accept the DNA of certain beings and species, including Ultimate Versions, cybernetically enhanced beings like Cybermen 35, and non-intelligent races that do not have as much intelligence as Muroids. It does not contain or accept DNA from species such as Babobiots and Contemelia because none of them have genetic material equivalent to traditional DNA that can be stored. It cannot accept TARDIS DNA due to its nature as living spaceships represented as common objects. I probably wouldn't accept Parademon DNA because it's considered to be an engineered corruption of intelligent life.40 The Omnitrix cannot accommodate the DNA of magical creatures because magic is not compatible with the science of the Omnitrix. Notable examples include the Stone Monsters and other inhabitants of Ledgerdomain, creatures native to the Wizarding World, and White Walkers. The team once came up with an alien with the ability to teleport, but it didn't make it onto the show. The Omnitrix could accept Mala'kak DNA because such DNA would be different enough from humans to be accepted. It could also accept Thunderian DNA, although the resulting transformation would depend on the animal form of the genetic donor and would resemble some kind of cat not seen on screen or a dog. Derrick personally would like to add Gelflings and the species from The Ghost from Another World to the Omnitrix. Other species whose DNA can accept the Omnitrix include Kryptonians, Yautja, and possibly Daleks Azmuth can block the Omnitrix in person and remotely, much like he did with the recreated Ultimatrix. The aliens in the Omnitrix are optimized adults of their respective species.

The Omnitrix was designed by Matt Youngberg and Shane Poindexter under Matt's supervision. Matt had a very clear vision of what he wanted, and Derrick liked the direction they were taking. The Omnitrix's touchscreen interface and Randomize feature were Matt Youngberg's ideas. 5960 TJ Collins designed the icons that represent each alien that appears on the Omnitrix touchscreen interface and they are inspired by the Autobot and Decepticon badges from Transformers: Animated, another Cartoon Network animated series that Wyatt had worked on. In theory, the Omnitrix already contains a DNA sample belonging to the Chimera sui generis, since Vilgax has been near and/or had contact with the Omnitrix (Prototype), Ultimatrix, and New Omnitrix, but none of these have entered scan mode. In Alien Force, it's suggested that Ben knew voice commands to remove it, making it likely that the process was an authorized unlinking. It is speculated that Ben asked Azmuth, the creator of the watch, to take it off him.

Azmuth is the creator of numerous inventions, including the Omnitrix. He is a Galvan from the planet Galvan Prime. His creations and scientific achievements have made him a highly respected scientist throughout the universe.

Azmuth now possesses two additional tendrils on each side of his head, as well as two age spots on the right side of his face and two more above his right eye. The skin around his eyes is now black, his facial and neck tendrils are slightly longer, and the black belt around his waist has been replaced with a silver one.

Azmuth is more level-headed, appearing more confident and somewhat more forgiving than before. He also seems to have developed a lighter sense of humor, as he reset Albedo's Ultimatrix to permanently lock her into her default form and transform her into an 11-year-old version of Ben.

Magister Rook Blonko is Ben's new partner after Gwen and Kevin left the team, and the deuteragonist of Omniverse. He is a Revonnahgander from the planet Revonnah.

Rook is tall, with periwinkle-blue fur, black markings on his face, and pointed ears. The center of his face, his chest, and his stomach are white. He has black stripes on his shoulders, waist, lower legs, and forearms. He carries the Proto-Tool on his shoulder and wears very durable blue and black Proto-Tech armor.

Rook is stoic and prefers to think before he acts. For example, when the Perks and the Murk Gourmands disagreed about how to save Queen Voratia Rumbletum from the Incurseans, Rook sided with the Perks to attack the Incurseans on land rather than invade their ship and rescue her, which he and the Perks considered the least risky route.

Rook regularly follows Plumber protocol, such as ordering villains to stand down. When Kundo took control of Plumber HQ, Rook was initially reluctant to ask Fistina for help, citing Plumber regulations that state Plumbers cannot accept gifts of any kind.

Rook tends to be honest to the point of being blunt. For example, when Starbeard questioned him about whether Ben was blatantly ignoring rules and procedures, instead of defending him, Rook stated that Ben had demonstrated ignorance of procedures, as well as countless other topics. Furthermore, on several occasions, Rook has rejected Fistina, even going so far as to tell her outright that her advances were unjustified and unwelcome.

Rook is quite formal, initially calling Ben "sir" and referring to Gwen as "Miss Tennyson." Kevin once remarked in exasperation that he was "so polite." Rook also doesn't use contractions unless he's sufficiently angry.

Despite having thoroughly researched Earth, Rook is unfamiliar with Earth culture and expressions, which can make him seem somewhat naive and often makes him the target of Ben's constant teasing. For example, when Kevin attempted a fist bump, Rook shook his fist instead. Rook also mistakenly assumes that movies accurately reflect Earth culture.

Generally speaking, Rook is open-minded and gets along well with others, although there are certain individuals who test his patience to the limit, such as the Vreedle brothers and Kundo.

Rook holds his family in high esteem, to the point that he loves his father more than anything in the world.

Like Fistrook, Rook's personality was similar to Fistrick's. He often addressed others as "bro" and sometimes substituted "bro" for other words. He was also very conscious of his diet and exercise habits.

Rook grew up as a farmer on his home planet, Revonnah, where he also practiced the martial art of Revonnah Kai under Kundo's tutelage. Much to his father's dismay, he joined the Plumbers. While attending the Plumber Academy, Rook met Scout, and together they developed many techniques. He also learned to play soccer there. At some point, the Vreedle Brothers blew up the academy, forcing Rook to take his final exam in a trailer on an asteroid. While stationed back on Revonnah, he took several classes via the Extranet. Max selected Rook to be Ben's new partner instead of Gwen and Kevin.

Rook met Ben at Mr. Baumann's shop when it was being attacked by members of Psyphon's gang. During this encounter, he showed Ben his Proto-Tool and Proto-Tech Armor. Although the criminals eventually escaped, Rook and Ben managed to detonate the bomb they had planted away from populated areas. After a formal introduction, they attempted to capture the criminals, pursuing them all the way to Undertown.

Rook questioned several Undertown residents as they tried to track down the fugitives. When Ben got into an unexpected fight with Buglizard, Rook managed to save him. Eventually, they located the fugitives, which led them to Psyphon. While Ben was forced to face Buglizard again, Rook pursued Psyphon and defeated him.

Rook introduced Ben to his Proto-TRUK. They scoured Bellwood looking for crimes to stop and eventually found Corvo harnessing the power of the Nosedeenians. They followed the Nosedeenians to Fistrick's hideout and worked together to destroy his Class 12 armored robotic suit.

Rook is an expert in the use of weapons, which he has frequently demonstrated through the various forms of the Proto-Tool. Thanks to its use, he has proven to be a skilled marksman and swordsman. For example, he was able to shoot Fistrick's tank from a distance atop a crane and duel the Red Knight with one sword against two.

Rook has mastered the Revonnah Kai style, having received combat training under his master, Kundo. Besides being Kundo's best student, Rook has complemented this fighting style with other techniques and tactics acquired on his various missions as a Plumber, ultimately managing to defeat his master in a fair fight.

Rook has enhanced strength, as he was able to lift and throw a Panuncian simply by holding it by the tail.

Rook can jump high in the air.

Rook possesses enhanced acrobatics and reflexes. For example, he was able to dodge one of Exo-Skull's energy blasts by walking like a crab.

Rook is flexible enough to keep his leg over his head.

Rook has impressive piloting skills, as demonstrated when he evaded several of Albedo's drones in the Proto-TRUK

Rook excels in mechanics and engineering, having made modifications to the Proto-Tool. He was also able to create an electronic interference device by fabricating an electron entanglement disruptor to escape an electromagnetic barrier. Furthermore, he helped Kevin make his new car immune to everything except magic.

Rook possesses a vast scientific and technological knowledge of alien paraphernalia, given that he observed the modifications his younger brother made to a harvester for spaceflight.

Rook is a competent football player, having learned the game at the Plumbers Academy

When Blonko discovered that Master Kundo had hurt his father, he became enraged, showing how much he cared for Da.

At first, Da wasn't keen on Rook becoming a plumber and wanted his son to be present during harvest time. But eventually, he approved of Rook's career and was proud of him.

Rook and Shar love each other very much, as was evident when they hugged as soon as Rook returned to Revonnah after quite some time.

Shar admires Rook, as she wanted to become a Plumber after seeing her older brother succeed. When Rook had to fight Shar, who was being mind-controlled by Dr. Psychobos at the time, he apologized to her beforehand, as he felt guilty about fighting his own sister.

When Rook discovered that Kundo opposed Shar's decision to become a plumber and was stalking her, he became so enraged that he used a contraction. Rook asked Ben to write a letter of recommendation to help Shar become a plumber.

Rook and Ben love each other very much. When Rook returned to Revonnah, Ben jumped on his brother with joy.

When the Incurseans attacked Revonnah, Ben immediately flew to Earth to seek help from Rook and Ben Tennyson. Rook Ben wants to visit the stars and explore the universe after being inspired by his brother.

Rook did everything he could to protect Ben from Kundo. When Ben's b'inthak fell, it was Rook who allowed him to choose his name.

Gwen and Rook get along well and occasionally talk off-screen, enough for Rook to know when Gwen's birthday is as well as the history between Ben and Kai.

However, Gwen felt somewhat offended when Rook said that she was only attractive by Earth's standards.

Rook was worried about Gwen when he didn't know where Kevin was.

Max Tennyson: At first, Max and Rook's relationship was purely professional. But over time, they developed a friendship. They communicate freely and respect each other.

Rook appreciates and enjoys Max's cooking, much to Max's delight.

When Max thought Rook and Ben had died fighting the Incurseans, he became enraged and tried to avenge them.

Kevin: Rook and Kevin share an interest in cars. They have visited auto shows together and have worked on Kevin's new car.

Although they generally get along, Kevin has expressed his annoyance at Rook's politeness and adherence to Plumber protocol.

Ben Tennyson: After Max Tennyson appointed Rook as Ben's new sidekick following Gwen and Kevin's move from Bellwood, Ben was initially unenthusiastic about having a new partner, as he wanted to be a lone superhero. However, after Rook helped him capture Psyphon and members of his gang, and after Rook bought him chili fries, Ben accepted Rook as his partner. Initially, Ben and Rook were more like colleagues, but over time they became best friends.

Her naivety is toned down in Alien Force; she's now even more analytical. She's very unlikely to be easily fooled, as she's also a quick thinker and an instinctive person. But sometimes she trusts others too quickly, and that can harm or even hurt her, as seen in Toxic Hazard. She can handle things well despite the circumstances (for example, when her magical powers were drained and Charmcaster hit her with a beam of magical energy, she immediately reversed the spell even though she had no magical or mystical powers left to maintain). Gwen has sometimes shown herself to be very concerned about her surroundings, the people around her, and those she cares about. She is very strong (physically and mentally) and well-mannered, despite her sarcasm and inflated ego at times. Gwen is a very caring and compassionate person, as shown by her acceptance of Kevin's past and recent actions; she also says she doesn't care about Kevin's appearance.

In the episode "It's Not Easy Being Gwen," it's shown that Gwen takes her education very seriously. Max's appearance hasn't changed much, except for his brown pants, which are now white. His hair is whiter, he has more wrinkles, and his eyes now have small black slivers. The white shirt he used to wear under his red button-down shirt is now black. Also, his shoes are now gray on top and black on the bottom.

A calm, kind, and usually jovial man, Max loves to provide his grandchildren with adventures and excitement, while also guiding them with his wisdom. He can sometimes seem a little absentminded, but he's actually quite perceptive. For example, from the very beginning of Ben's adventures, he knew who was probably chasing him.

Max is a very brave man who has dedicated his life to preserving peace on Earth between humans and aliens. He regularly saves the lives of citizens caught in Ben's fights with villains, even while maintaining his secret life as the Plumber and without access to his weapons. His bravery has cost him serious injuries; his DNA has been spliced; he has nearly died in several ways; and much more.

Max is also brave and adventurous in the culinary world, and often has an appetite for foods considered strange or disgusting, both from Earth and the extraterrestrial market. This is due to his travels around the world and the galaxy.

Although well-intentioned, Max has a stern side, as he sometimes struggled to guide Ben during his grandson's first possession of the Omnitrix, and on rare occasions, they even argued. He acts sternly out of love, but also out of conviction. He isn't afraid to criticize people, no matter how powerful, for their selfishness and mistakes.

One of Max's few flaws is that when personal threats from his past resurface, he tends not to think clearly and acts more selfishly, to the point of withholding information from those who try to help him, including his family.

Appearance: Kevin wore the same black shirt, but the sleeves and collar were unevenly cut. His gray shirt was striped, the sleeves of his long-sleeved gray shirt were slightly ripped, and he carried blue holsters for his pistols. His hair was longer and straighter, and his pants had a small tear below the left knee. He also wore a necklace with a padlock similar to the one he wore when he was 11, but with the number "11" on it. In addition, he had black markings around his eyes again.

Personality: Due to a troubled childhood and possessing supernatural abilities from a young age, Kevin exhibited psychopathic tendencies and was willing to harm or kill anyone for his own gain. This stemmed from being treated as a freak by his peers and family, and was exacerbated by the negative mental side effects he experienced whenever he absorbed too much energy. This caused Kevin to live with many insecurities; he accepted his "freak" label while simultaneously feeling paranoid that others would use it against him. His paranoia progressed to the point where he considered everyone his enemy because, as he himself said, "Nobody's innocent! They just haven't had the chance to make fun of me yet!" Thus, Kevin lived on the streets, committing various crimes and cruel acts of violence; a telling example was his attempt to crash a train loaded with money into another train carrying passengers, simply repeating the phrase "no pain, no gain" while thinking of all the innocent lives that would be lost.

Osmosians have different abilities depending on the individual, such as certain Osmosians having the ability to absorb matter and energy from almost anything and use it in various ways.
