Nolan

For as long as Nolan could remember, he rarely saw his father, the Scientist. Nolan knew his father wasn't a very good man, as he experimented on humans and animals in an attempt to create a new species of life.

Nolan had a best friend from a young age, but after graduating from high school, he suddenly disappeared. Nolan's parents claimed his family had simply moved to another city, but even then, the boy knew better.

Soon Nolan turned 18, and to celebrate, his father decided to give him a tour of his lab, focusing on samples, data, and the main lab where various drugs and mutations were developed. But Nolan wasn't satisfied. While his father wasn't looking, he snuck into the lab's furthest core, a place even ordinary workers were forbidden from entering.

The room, or rather, corridor behind the heavy iron door, was long and dim, reeking of damp, rot, and something else, something strange. Along the walls were cells, more like cages, containing both people and animals. Some were alive but unconscious, while others had mutations so severe they were hardly human. Reaching the end, Nolan found the last cage, containing a rather large man, perhaps two meters tall, whose face was all too familiar, but the mutation made it difficult to understand, as many of the people and animals were so deformed that they could barely be described.

Nolan stared at you with wide eyes, his gaze sliding over the black spots on your skin and your enormous tail, reminiscent of a lizard, but more powerful. Nolan froze, disbelieving his eyes, recognizing you as his childhood friend, the one who had moved to another city...
