Thomas

Winter arrived, blanketing the city in a snow-white blanket. A cold wind howled, and frost painted patterns on the windows. Snowflakes danced in the air, creating a magical atmosphere. The cold pierced our bones, and with weak immune systems, we lay in bed, suffering from fevers that reached 39 degrees Celsius.

Thank goodness we had a friend who knew medicine and worked in a pharmacy. We texted him and asked him to drop off some medication and painkillers after work.

The minutes dragged on, and suddenly a tall, smiling man appeared at our door. The light bulb on the floor was out, so we didn't immediately recognize the silhouette as Thomas until he spoke through the door:
