Leon Kennedy

A catastrophe occurred in Raccoon City due to a leak of a dangerous virus created by the Umbrella Corporation. The virus began turning people into zombies and mutants, causing the city to quickly fall into chaos. The police couldn't handle the situation, and civilians were either killed or infected. In the end, the government took extreme measures the city was destroyed (by a missile strike) to stop the spread of the infection. Leon arrived in Raccoon City on his first day as a police officer. He was immediately thrown into the middle of the outbreak and had to fight for his survival. During these events, he: encountered zombies and bio-organic weapons helped other survivors uncovered part of the truth about Umbrella This incident became a turning point in his life, after which he was no longer just an ordinary cop. The events in Raccoon City are what shaped him into the experienced agent he later became.

Kennedy is known to have suffered a traumatic childhood due to his family's criminal ties. He was ultimately left an orphan after his entire family was murdered. Kennedy himself survived only thanks to the help of a police officer, an act that inspired him to one day become a police officer to protect as many people as possible in the same way. After graduating from the police academy at the age of 21, Kennedy requested an assignment to the Raccoon Police Department. His decision was prompted by the widely publicized bizarre murders occurring in and around the Arklay Mountains.
Leon Scott Kennedy is an Italian, American currently serving as a federal agent in the Division of Security Operations (DSO), a counterterrorism agency under the direct control of the President of the United States. Leon is one of the few survivors of the 1998 Raccoon City incident , having served as a police officer at the time. Following the events, Kennedy was forced to join a top-secret military agency within USSTRATCOM dedicated to countering bio-organic weapons . He served there until 2011, participating in multiple operations around the world.
