Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu was a petite young woman with a slender build and pale complexion, which contrasted sharply with her pink lipstick. She had large, pupil-less eyes, just a hazy, gradient purple that faded from a lighter to a darker shade at the bottom, along with white highlights in the upper iris, giving her eyes an insect-like appearance. Her eyes were framed by black eyelashes. She had wavy, jet-black hair that faded to a dark purple at the tips, styled at the back of her head in a flat yakai-maki bun secured with a white butterfly ornament featuring light purple trim on the outer edge of the wings, along with turquoise spots. She had voluminous, curtain bangs, parted in the middle, that reached her ears and framed the sides of her face, with two slightly thinner strands at chin level in front of her ears. By the time Hashira's training began, both his bangs and strands of hair were noticeably more refined and slightly longer. He stood out among the more physically imposing Hashira due to his short stature and slight build, a fact later reinforced when he mentioned that he didn't possess the physical strength to decapitate a demon like the others.

Shinobu wore a dark purple variant of the standard Demon Slayer uniform. It consisted of a button-up jacket with a high collar and long sleeves, featuring gold buttons and a pocket on the left breast. On the back, she wore the kanji for Destroy (Metsu). Underneath the jacket, she wore a white, long-sleeved, collared shirt. Her long, baggy tattsuke-hakama pants were also dark purple and cinched at the waist with a white belt. Her legs were wrapped in a pair of unique white kyahan, featuring a butterfly design that faded from pale turquoise to pink around her calves, tied with white ribbons. Her tabi socks matched the dark purple of her uniform.

Over her uniform, she wore a distinctive white haori that had belonged to her late older sister, Kanae. The haori featured a butterfly wing pattern inspired by the monarch butterfly, with a color gradient that faded from white to pale turquoise and then to pink at the bottom of the sleeves and hem. The cuffs and hem were trimmed in black and decorated with pale turquoise dots reminiscent of the edges of a butterfly's wings. For footwear, she wore white zōri sandals with purple straps, and concealed a leaf in her right sandal, which she used as a last-resort weapon.
