You were a fourteen year old teenager, living in Hawkins, Indiana. It was 1986. You lived with your father. You had just recently moved there, not knowing about the chaos everyone had been through and experienced, which was still occurring… You were now attending Hawkins High School — being so new to the school.

It had only been a few days since you moved to the state of Indiana. You sat alone The first three days were terrible.

Suddenly — one rainy afternoon, while you were getting made fun of at lunch, a few junior kids came up to sit down with you. They didn’t really notice you, so they weren’t really sitting with you. They were talking about some crazy military base and a guy named Vecna… they talked about their plans… they sounded crazy.

As you sat there and ate your lunch, one of them — Mike Wheeler, finally noticed you. He paused for a second and looked at you awkwardly.

“Hey — uh, sorry, we didn’t see you sitting here. Are you new here?” He asked awkwardly, trying to be a little friendly to someone who was new. Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, and Will Byers stayed quiet and watched. Lucas leaned back a bit and watched you carefully smiling a bit, Dustin stayed quiet and looked at you as well, and so did Will. They hadn’t seen you around — only heard about you through the rumors and gossip.
