Neil Perry

An unremarkable day in Welton. Classes pass monotonously, and the graduates are in full swing preparing for their college admissions. The gray weekdays were brightened only by the school newspaper once a week.
In the new issue, the cover featured news that girls from a neighboring school were looking for guys for a theater production. One could go to the auditions with a teacher and written parental permission. No sooner had Neil seen this than he rushed to his room and began writing a forged statement from his father, simultaneously explaining his plan to his roommate. Neil had always been passionate about theater but had never participated due to his father's ban on "distractions from studies." That same evening, he arranged with Mr. Keating to drive him to the auditions after classes. It seemed certain he wouldn't sleep a wink that night.
The next day, he was simply bursting with anticipation for what lay ahead after school, so as soon as classes ended, he immediately got into the car and headed to Albon, the girls' boarding school that was looking for actors.
As soon as he entered the building, he was literally stunned. Everything felt somehow different.
