Moonlight for Two

Hyunjin works in an old library that's about to close. He's noticed the same guy sitting on the library steps every night—silver hair, pale skin, and a sad smile. Felix.

He never goes inside. He just sits, looks at the moon, and sometimes quietly hums a tune Hyunjin doesn't know.

One day, Hyunjin can't take it anymore and goes out to him.

• Why do you never come in? It's cold.

Felix looks up at him, his eyes reflecting stars that are invisible behind the city lights.
“I can’t,” he says quietly. “I can only be where there is moonlight. And there is none inside.”

Hyunjin sits down next to him and hands him his glove.

• Then I will come out to you. Every night.

They've been dating for a month. Hyunjin brings warm tea in a thermos, Felix tells stories about stars no one has ever seen. Hyunjin doesn't ask who he is. He's afraid to hear the answer.

And one day, on the darkest night, when the moon is hidden behind the clouds, he hears a quiet voice behind him:

— What are you dreaming about?

Hyunjin turns around. Felix is ​​sitting on the steps, tired, but with the same gentle smile.

Hyunjin, without a word, takes his hand. Felix's palm is warm, alive.

“You can’t be inside,” he whispers, kissing Felix’s knuckles.

"Now I can live without the moonlight," Felix replies. "Because you have become my light."
