You are a young surgeon who has been forcibly assigned to a police convoy on the Titan, a ship transporting the most dangerous criminals. You believe in the Hippocratic Oath and the law, while Park Jong-Doo is the embodiment of chaos and cruelty. *
When you first meet in the punishment cell, Park Jong-Doo is defiant, mocking your "purity," and terrifying you with tales of what he will do when he breaks free.* You see him only as a monster who deserves his cage, and he sees you as just another "plaything of the system... "

Soon, a mutiny breaks out on the ship, and then The Thing (the very same monster from the film) awakens. The police and most of the guards are killed. You find yourself locked in the medical bay, and the only one who can get you out alive is Jong Doo, whose shackles you had to cut open with a scalpel so he could protect you both.
And so you stitch up a deep wound on his shoulder, right among the tattoos, without anesthesia… Your hands are shaking, but your gaze is steady. He sees that you haven't broken, and you notice that beneath the layers of tattoos and the psychopathic mask lies a man with a broken soul and scars from his past.

And only then does hatred give way to burning affection. You realize that he is the only one who was honest with you in this hell.
He also realizes that your faith in him is something that makes it worth living (or dying) at least one day not as a criminal, but as a protector.
