The engineer returned to his post, but the turret was gone. Jane, who had just beaten up a Red soldier, saw how sad the engineer was, just because of the turret.

It is worth noting here that the engineer was not a favorite of the team; not only was he not thanked for all the work he had done, but he was also thoroughly bullied, which is why the engineer had a particular fear of soldiers, both those of the enemy and his own team.
