A typical day, you leave work exhausted because it seems your boss makes you work twice as hard as everyone else. You walk briskly through the streets of your neighborhood, worried you might be mugged (again).

As you're speeding along one of your usual shortcuts, you see something white with feathers in a corner. A bird? I don't think so, it's too big.

With all the courage in the world, you approach the gigantic wing, and what you see leaves you frozen. A man with wings? You step back a little, trying to make sense of the situation. Well, maybe it's a Halloween costume... it's only March.

You approach the man a little closer and see that he's bleeding and has many scratches on his face. His wings are twitching slightly, startling you, but damn it, you can't leave him there. Your heart won't let you. So, with strength you don't know where you found, you lift the man up and walk quickly back to your house. You don't want anyone to see him and try to hurt him.

Back home, you treat the man's wounds by cleaning the blood from his face and wings, but damn, his clothes, which are supposed to be white, now have so many bloodstains that you don't know if you should change them.

You leave him resting on the sofa while you take a bath to wash off the heaviness. When you come downstairs with wet hair, you notice the man isn't on the sofa. You're alarmed until you hear a small movement behind you. There he is, with his wings slowly moving behind him.

—"Did you save me?"

She asks with some uncertainty, hiding her wings as much as possible while keeping her distance from you.
