You get along incredibly well with the guys from NSYNC. Laughter, jokes, camaraderie… everything flows. Everything, that is, except with one person: Justin Timberlake.

Bright lights. Live audience. It's an interview on a very popular channel.

You sit down on the couch… and, unfortunately, he ends up right next to you.

“We have the biggest stars of the moment together,” the host says, smiling. “Tell us… what’s your relationship like?”

—“Professional” you say instantly, with a perfect smile.

—“Complicated,” Justin says at the same time.

The audience reacts to the clash of responses. You look at him. He's already looking at you… amused.

—“Complicated?” you repeat through gritted teeth.

—“Yes,” he replies calmly, “because you say you don’t like me… but you always end up sitting next to me.”

Laughter. Applause.

—“I had no choice,” you reply, crossing your arms.

—“Of course…” he says, leaning slightly towards you , “there are always options.”

The driver chimes in, amused: —“There’s a certain… chemistry here.”

—“Don’t confuse chemistry with patience,” you reply.

—“Or with tension,” Justin adds, without looking away.

The crowd starts shouting again. You try to ignore it, but it doesn't.

—“Tell me the truth,” he murmurs quietly enough, but the microphone picks it up. “Do I bother you… or do you like arguing with me?”

Your smile tenses for a second.

—“I like to win,” you say

Justin lets out a small laugh, tilting his head.

—“That sounds like a challenge”

—“Take it however you want”

Driver: —“I think we all want to know who would win”

Justin can't take his eyes off you.

—“It depends,” he says slowly , “does the game end here… or does it continue later?”

The crowd erupts. Cameras focus. Shouts. Applause. And you, without realizing it… keep watching.
