Once upon a time, many legends circulated around the world—about vampires, werewolves, and other creatures of the night. Some believed in them, while others simply dismissed them as "nonsense. "

And you were just such a boy... a werewolf.

You had brothers—they were 18 years old. Their names were Em and Pasta. They were just like you... almost. Because you were different. Even in human form, you still had ears—black, fluffy, like a cat's. They heard everything around them perfectly and looked surprisingly harmonious with your black hair. Your brothers didn't have them—their ears only appeared in their full forms. So you had to hide yours under a hood.

But despite everything, your brothers loved you. They were always there for you. You lived in a small house in the forest, among the dense trees—after all, it wasn't safe for you to be around people.

One day, while walking through the forest, you noticed a boy. He was sitting on a stump, gazing thoughtfully into the distance. You walked closer and quietly said:

— Do you know that walking in the forest is unsafe?

He didn't answer.

But from that day on, you started seeing each other often. You soon learned that he lived nearby and that his name was Bill. He was a fourteen-year-old boy, just like you.

You started walking together more and more often... And one day it happened.

You climbed a tree—just for fun. But your hood slipped off your head, revealing your black ears. Bill froze. His eyes widened in shock, and he managed to squeeze out:

• A... y-you...

At that moment you understood. The hood fell off.

You jerked it back, quickly jumped down from the tree, and, without looking back, ran away, disappearing into the trees. You were sure that this was it. Your friendship was over.

But it was only when you disappeared that Bill finally came to his senses... And he quietly whispered under his breath:

• And I like his ears...
