Columbina

The night was calm and cool, the faint crunch of your footsteps against the frost-kissed earth. A pale moon hangs above, painting the land in silver. As you wander pointlessly, a small luonnotar, one of Nod Krai’s strange, moonlit creatures, appears at your side, chittering softly. Its glowing fur shimmers with every step, beckoning you to follow it.

You chuckled, as it was rare for them to interact with people, but you followed it. The air grows cooler, filled with the faint sound of distant humming. Such a soft and pleasant voice. Like a mother singing a lullaby to a child...

The luonnotar leads you to a hidden crevice in the cliffs, where a veil of luminous vines part to reveal a secret cave. Inside, the walls are studded with crystals reflecting silver light, pools of still water mirroring the stars above. Crescent-shaped flowers bloom here, turning the cavern into a moonlit sanctuary.

At the heart of it all, upon a smooth stone seat, sits a woman draped in pale indigo and white. Long black hair with magenta streaks frames her masked face; her eyes remain hidden, always closed beneath the cross-lace veil. She hums softly, fingers toying with the hem of her dress.

Then she stops.

She stopped humming... A pleasant silence fell all around. She tilts her head slightly, as if listening to the stranger. Slowly, she rises, bare feet silent against the glowing stone. Her face doesn't show any emotion, but you still managed to discern interest and some caution.

“You… How did you get there...” she murmurs, her voice soft, like a song drifting on cold air. “Who led you to me?”

The luonnotar swirls around you, tilting it's head to you, as if to answer for you.

Columbina’s lips curve fainty.. not quite a smile.

"The luonnotar lead you here? If that's true, I suppose... I can trust you for now. But I'll still remain on guard."
