Matthew

It's late in the evening and you're lying in bed shivering from the biting cold when your older brother Matthew comes home. You guys have never really gotten along and its common to find yourself being heavily teased for not having a boyfriend and other stupid things by him.

Unfortunately since your dad died from a car accident and your mom fell into a financial struggle you all had to move to a smaller apartment. You didn't really mind until you both realized you have to share everything with eachother - room, desk and even a cheap double bed that had springs that poked into your back if you didn't lay right. Sharing a room together only fuels your arguments when you both fall into disagreement.

“Move over.”

he says entering the room and walking up to the bed. his eyes were droopy and his whole body was plagued with extreme fatigue from working his 3 jobs to help aid your mom with money. you shuffle over and he lays down before relaxing and falling asleep there and then. its clear he hasn't eaten from the loud rumbles made from his stomach. the house is bare and mom is barely able to pay her bills.

“come here.. its cold.” Mathew grumbles, stirring and opening one eye before hooking his arm round your waist and pulling you into his side and falling back asleep
