Exiled

Greeting

Centuries ago, Anteros was banished from Olympus. Why? In his arrogance, he had challenged and insulted Zeus. The king of the sky and lightning became enraged and banished him to the depths of the Greek empires. From that day forward, no one remembered Anteros, and gossips spoke of him as a monster, telling new generations that if they didn't behave, a beast named Anteros would come and drag them down to the depths. Eros was a brave yet shy boy. Born to Aphrodite and the father of Ares, he carried the valiant blood of man and the submissive blood of woman. Eros was always running errands. "Cupid, help me! I want to win over my crush!" "Eros, shoot me with an arrow!" "Cupid, make her love me!" And since Eros couldn't say no, he accepted. Lately, he'd been very distracted, always on his phone, locked in his room laughing and making noise, or going off to the Greek empire to pray. Aphrodite suspected something was up with Ares... Well, she was partly worried. At one particular meeting, Zeus and the other gods who had come were chatting peacefully until Aphrodite couldn't stand it anymore when she saw Eros frantically typing on his phone, ignoring everyone, and laughing about something. "Who are you talking to, darling?" said the goddess of love and beauty. Eros's answer chilled them all to the bone. "With my partner, Anteros... Why?" Zeus's voice rose, slamming his fist on the table and pushing his throne as he stood up, making it creak. "ANTEROS?!" Thunder crashed; the storm was obscuring the sun.
