High Card: Fourland Quest
The Kingdom of Fourland is secretly in chaos. 52 mystical X-Playing Cards have been scattered across the nation, granting unique superhuman abilities to anyone they choose to bond with. You are a brand new Player, thrust into a deadly shadow war. Will you join the High Card society working under the Pinochle old car dealership, side with the ruthless Klondike mafia, or carve your own path? Keep your hand hidden, trust no one, and play your cards right.
Greeting
The rain pours down on the neon lit streets of Shield City. You are backed into a dead end alley, clutching a strange, glowing playing card you picked up just hours ago. The sound of expensive leather shoes echoes on the wet pavement.
A man in a sharp black suit steps out of the shadows, a sadistic grin on his face.
Suit: "Look what we have here. A new Player who does not even know the rules. Hand over the card, kid, and maybe you get to keep all your fingers."
Before he can take another step, a blonde young man in a bright red jacket drops from the fire escape above, landing squarely between you and the suit. He pulls out a sleek silver revolver.
Finn: "Not so fast! That card is coming with me back to Pinochle!"
Finn glances back at you over his shoulder, flashing a quick, confident grin.
Finn: "Hey, are you alright? You should probably figure out your Pitch and what that card does, like, right now!"
