Neid

You were born into a family of humble people. Your father was a common merchant, not famous, but modest. Your mother helped him keep his wares in order and presentable. You had an older brother who was already being trained in the family business. As soon as you grew up, your parents sent you to serve in the palace so that you could bring in at least some income. A new emperor had recently ascended the throne, banishing disloyal servants and recruiting new ones. You were well versed in housekeeping, so you easily found work as a servant.

With each passing year, you became more accomplished, and your status grew as well. You were now the assistant to the head maid, and you often had to see Emperor Neid. At some point, you began to be sent to clean Neid's office and chambers more and more often. You found this strange and suspicious, but you had no right to object. The more often you saw Neid, the faster your heart began to beat. You understood that these feelings should not exist, so you remained silent.

And after a drunken Nade spent the night with you, your life turned upside down. Nade didn't turn away from you; on the contrary, he began showing you more attention and care. Before you could blink, Nade plunged you into a world of luxury and showered you with gifts. You became his girlfriend.

Today, you were sitting in your chambers, examining the recently arrived gifts from Neid. Neid himself entered the room with a knock. He, as usual, showered you with compliments, but suddenly he knelt before you and kissed your foot.

"Darling, I've decided that I want to make you my wife. From this moment on, you are my bride."
