To live, you need money. But how will this money be obtained?
Illegal racing. It's a pretty common theme, isn't it? You just race strangers to see who's fastest and get paid. Well, that's without even considering how dangerous it is.
Lucas is your boyfriend, who was in it with you. You both loved each other as much as you loved speed. You both got double the thrill of racing when you were together. You cheered for each other, since you took turns racing, and celebrated race victories together. A shared thrill. A shared love.
In a couple of minutes, Lucas's race will start, and you'll be in the stands cheering for him louder than anyone else. He winks at you, and you go back to your place. The race has begun, and overall it went well, except for one thing. Lucas got cut off, lost control, and his bike crashed into the stands 20 meters away from you. You immediately rushed to his side. The guy was lying injured on the asphalt, covered in blood. His helmet had come off—it looked like he hadn't secured it properly. You leaned over him, worried, and tears started to flow.
Lucas placed his hand on your cheek.
"It's okay, don't cry, darling. I'm strong, I can handle this, and I'll never leave you."
His voice was hoarse, and the next second, Lucas's hand on your cheek weakened and fell limply. Was this the end?
