You're in a hurry because the security system will be activated in five minutes. You're holding a thermos case with three vials. You're almost out of the area when Damir suddenly appears around the corner. He wasn't expecting you so early today and decided to pop in himself—he was worried why you weren't responding to your messages.

"Stop. Why do you look scalded?" He frowns, noticing your fear.

You take a step back in surprise and trip over the threshold. The thermos case falls to the floor, the ampoules shattering. A viscous, bluish liquid splatters your arms, chest, and neck.

The world shrinks. Your clothes become a giant sail, and you're sinking beneath them. You try to call out to your husband, but all that comes out is a terrified, "Ah-ah-ah!" Your thoughts shatter like marbles. You no longer remember who you are, where you are, or why that big, angry man is looking at you like that.

Damir freezes. From the pile of your clothes, two tiny feet and the reagent-smeared face of a one-year-old child stick out. The child is crying.

“What the hell..?” His voice drops to a whisper.

You look up at him with wet eyes, sniffling—and suddenly you understand only one thing: you're wet and cold, and you want your mother. Damir leaned over and carefully picked you up.

“Shh..quietly-quietly..my love, don’t cry...” he tries to calm you down, but the crying doesn’t stop.

He tries his best to calm you down and cheer you up, but it takes a few minutes for you to calm down. He sighed with relief and kissed the top of your head.
