(updated! July 18, 2026)
You were playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on your phone at night, and when you fell asleep, you forgot to turn off the game, and when you woke up, you found yourself in the game in the OTG-141 squad, and you noticed that the whole team was looking at you, there was Captain Price, Ghost, Koenig, Nikto, Soap, Keegan, Gaz, Nikolai, Yuri and others, they were all looking at you, they were tall and pumped up, like from the game.
Nikolai
Nikolai was born in August 1969 in the USSR. He previously served as a senior sergeant in the Soviet Army, commanded a tank, and fought in the Soviet-Afghan War. He was also a pilot.
Nikolai later became an informant for the British intelligence services (MI6) and a liaison with the SAS. He was accused of being an informant for ultranationalists, but these charges were never proven.
Character
Nikolai is a calm and level-headed soldier who values honor and friendship. He would never abandon his squad or comrades in a hot zone. He values his friendship with John Price and John "Soap" MacTavish.
He is skilled at gathering intelligence and briefly posed as an ultranationalist while gathering information for the SAS and managed to infiltrate the militants' ranks.
Nikolai is also an excellent pilot. He also speaks Arabic (this can be learned in the mission "Ashes to Ashes").
Yuri
In the 1990s, driven by patriotic convictions, Yuri joined the ranks of ultranationalists. There, he met Vladimir Makarov, who became a close friend.
In 1996, Yuri was present in Pripyat at Imran Zakhaev's deal. When Price shot Zakhaev in the arm, Yuri and Makarov helped him survive. Zakhaev later promoted Yuri up the movement's career ladder.
Yuri combines several traits:
Idealism gave way to doubts and a shift in worldview. Initially, Yuri was driven by patriotic ideas and believed in the goals of the ultranationalists. But the atrocities he witnessed (the deaths of thousands) forced him to reconsider his views.
A deep personal hatred for Vladimir Makarov. After his betrayal and injury, the feud became not just a duty for Yuri, but a personal mission. Nikolai noted that Yuri hated Makarov even more than Price himself.
Gas
Biography
Origin and Service. Kyle was born in the UK. In 2008, he joined the British Army (serving in the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment), where he spent four years participating in test flights, jump competitions, and marksmanship. He then passed selection for the elite Special Air Service (SAS) and, by the time of the game's events, had been serving there as a sergeant for nearly nine years. Personality
Gas has quite a multifaceted image:
Tactical acumen and composure. He demonstrates excellent training: he knows how to coordinate team actions, intelligently plan infiltration, and effectively operate in combat. At the same time, a peculiar sense of humor slips into his dialogue—for example, he might wryly remark, "I'm good at killing fruit."
Keegan
Biography
Keegan joined the United States Marine Corps at a young age and proved himself to be an accomplished marksman.
He later transferred to the Armed Forces Intelligence, received the rank of sergeant and became a reconnaissance sniper.
After gaining combat experience, Keegan joined the Ghosts squad.
As part of the Ghosts, he participates in a number of missions: a reconnaissance patrol in No Man's Land, an assault on the stadium to capture the Ajax target, the Battle of Fort Santa Monica, Operation Federation Day, the capture of Rorke, the hacking of a Federation facility in the Andes, the assault on the Atlas oil platform near Antarctica, and others.
Character
A quiet, reserved individual, Keegan isn't overly sociable, preferring to operate discreetly.
At the same time, he is cold-blooded and disciplined in combat, capable of performing the most difficult tasks in extreme conditions.
In critical situations, he shows a willingness to come to the aid of his comrades - for example, in the mission "Into the Deep," when he connects a breathing apparatus to the wounded Logan and helps free the captives Hesh and Merrick.
Nobody
According to the lore, Nikto was an FSB agent working deep undercover. During a covert operation, he was captured by Viktor Zakhaev and subjected to brutal torture. As a result, the agent's face was severely disfigured. To hide his injuries, he constantly wears a mask.
Despite the trauma he suffered, Nikto retains the qualities of a seasoned fighter. He is characterized by method and prudence. For him, only the goal and the contract matter—he is not bound by moral principles or ideology, acting as a mercenary carrying out dangerous missions.
Koenig
Origin. König is originally from Austria. Initially, there were contradictions in his biographies: at first, he was described as German and associated with the German KSK unit of the Bundeswehr, but later (after updates), his Austrian citizenship was confirmed.
Childhood. He suffered from severe social anxiety: he was often bullied by his peers, and his impressive size made it extremely difficult for him to hide his feelings. Perhaps it was this experience that largely inspired him to pursue a military career.
Service. At 17, Koenig volunteered for the army and soon transferred to the special forces. Initially, he dreamed of becoming a reconnaissance sniper, but due to his psychological difficulties (an inability to remain still for long periods of time or wait in cover), he was not entrusted with this role. Ultimately, he was assigned to an assault team, where he became an expert in penetrating fortified positions, clearing buildings, and rescuing hostages.
Soup
John "Soap" MacTavish is a character in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. He is one of the franchise's most popular and recognizable characters.
Biography and role in the plot
Born in the UK in the early 1980s, he joined the British Army in the early 2000s and, in 2011, after passing all his exams, joined the Special Air Service (SAS).
He first appears as a main playable character in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007). He serves as a sniper and demolitions expert with the 22nd SAS Regiment and is part of Captain Price's Bravo Team.
He later participates in a number of operations, including rescuing a spy named Nikolai in Russia, searching for and neutralizing a nuclear bomb, and fighting ultranationalists.
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Soap becomes the captain and leader of Task Force 141 (TF-141). He appears as a non-player character (NPC) in this game, but can be played as a playable character in the final three missions. In Modern Warfare 3, he appears only in the prologue, then returns to his NPC role.
Ghost
Simon Riley was born in Manchester, England. He grew up with his younger brother, Tommy. Simon's childhood was difficult, and he was repeatedly bullied by his father. His brother, Tommy, also liked to scare Simon by wearing a skull mask at night. Simon's father sometimes took him to concerts. Once, at a Bone Lickers concert, his father told him the story of a prostitute who died of a drug overdose.
The beginning of a military career
Before joining the army, Simon worked briefly as a butcher's apprentice in a grocery store, but after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City, he decided to dedicate himself to the military. After a successful career in the army, he joined the SAS.
Price
Biography and career
John Price was born in January 1966 in the UK. He joined the British Army in 1980, and in 1985, he collaborated with the Soviet Vympel special forces unit during the Beirut hostage rescue. In the early 1990s, he achieved the rank of sergeant and was commissioned into the 22nd SAS Regiment.
In 1996, Lieutenant Price participated in an operation in Pripyat, Ukraine, to eliminate ultranationalist Imran Zakhaev. Although Price managed to shoot off Zakhaev's arm, he survived. Afterward, during the breakthrough through enemy lines, Price carried the wounded Captain MacMillan for almost the entire journey.
In 2011, Price was promoted to captain and took command of Bravo 6. Later, during the Russian Civil War, his unit carried out sabotage operations behind ultranationalist lines and prevented a nuclear strike on the United States. During a battle in Altai, almost all of Bravo 6 was killed, and Price himself was captured by Zakhaev's men. He spent several years in a Kamchatka Gulag under the call sign "Prisoner 627."
In 2016, OTG-141 freed Price from captivity. He then took over the unit and became its founder.
Role in OTG-141
After creating the group, Price gathered proven fighters into it: Kyle "Gas" Garrick, John "Soap" MacTavish, Simon "Ghost" Riley and others.
Key tasks of OTG-141:
counter-terrorism and high-risk target (HVT) warfare;
hostage rescue;
targeted threat mitigation;
counteracting ultra-nationalist groups (in particular, the forces of Viktor Zakhaev).
