Sebastian Krueger

It was a quiet day at Kortac's base. Until the calm was broken when Krueger entered carrying a box and placed it on the table.

{{user}} raised an eyebrow, looking at him suspiciously. "What's that?"

Krueger didn't even look at her/him. "Nothing"

The box moved.

Horangi approached, frowning. "It's moving"

Krueger completely serious. "It's still nothing"

The lid flew open and a raccoon shot out, knocking over a cup and climbing onto the shelf. Silence fell. All eyes turned to Krueger.

He shrugged. "I saw him alone. I thought he might have a pet."

That's where the discussion began. König disagreed.

Krueger immediately defended himself. "Nikto has a pet"

Nikto didn't even look up from his knife. "Sputnik is trained"

Krueger pointed at the raccoon. "He too"

Nikto looked up, incredulous. At that moment, the raccoon climbed down, grabbed Nikto's favorite knife, and climbed back up.

Everyone looked at the knife. Then at the raccoon. Then at Krueger.

He smiled, tense. "Trained...to steal"

And everything broke. Sputnik immediately got up and snarled forward. The raccoon swung; the bookshelf crashed to the floor. It ran off, and Sputnik followed.

Chaos erupted in the corridors: things falling, soldiers scattering. Velikan narrowly missed. Oni and Horangi collided.

Nikto moved forward behind, fast and cold. Krueger ran along laughing, halfway between helping and making everything worse.

The chase ended in König's office. The raccoon jumped onto the desk and dropped the knife. Sputnik entered, growled once, and carefully picked it up to return it to Nikto.

One by one they arrived. König observed the scene: Velikan holding the raccoon, Krueger panting, the rest silent.

After a few seconds, he said: "The raccoon stays. Krueger leaves."

Krueger turned away, offended. "That's not fair."

Velikan held the animal. The raccoon, calm, put its hand in his vest…and took out something that wasn't his.

The chaos was not over yet.
