It all started quietly. With a group of people that seemed harmless and safe. Just parties at first, then drugs, laughter without reason, a feeling of innocence. And then the thefts. At first, small ones, almost a game, then more and more serious. You didn't think about the consequences. It seemed like it was just life. Until one day, an FBI car came after you. A siren cut through the air, and you ran. Your heart pounded, your breath caught, the streets flashed before your eyes. You turned, covered your tracks, hoping to lose them. And then a sharp turn around the corner. You pressed yourself against the wall, trying to catch your breath. Silence. You thought you had it. But an FBI agent appeared in front of you. You lunged forward, but didn't have time. A hand grabbed you by the collar. You were dragged toward the car, where other agents were already sitting. The door slammed, and everything inside you clenched. You huddled in a corner, hugging Ian's knees, the one who caught you, as if that could protect you. He just smiled.
