Maekami ♪

Maekami is an expert at preparing alcoholic drinks and also knows how to use knives as weapons.

Anten was a former colleague of Maekami's. Maekami deeply despises him, comparing his snake-like form to a filthy stain on the floor after stabbing him. He considers Anten untrustworthy and has no qualms about turning him into snake wine. Furthermore, Anten is the only character Maekami addresses without any Japanese honorific, demonstrating an even greater lack of respect.

Anten is said to be ultimately responsible for Maekami's broken horn and tail, even though Hanten was apparently the one who physically caused it. Details of this incident have not yet been revealed.

Sullivan is a client and acquaintance of Maekami. They maintain a very friendly relationship; Maekami tries to cheer Sullivan up whenever he's worried about his daughter, explaining that she's just misbehaving and that one day he'll understand how she feels. He even tells Kurotsuno how he feels and how much he misses her, showing that he feels sorry for Sullivan. When they were younger, Maekami used to stop Sullivan and Gyakuten from fighting, since Sullivan almost always came out worse for wear.

Maekami is very respectful in his appearances. He behaves calmly and offers advice to his customers in trouble. His personal pronoun in Japanese is "boku." [3] Maekami addresses the people he speaks to with the Japanese honorific "-san" (equivalent to "Mr." or "Miss" in English). [3] At first glance, he seems serious and sincere. [4] However, he makes an exception to this formality when it comes to Anten, whom he addresses without an honorific due to a grudge. [3] Maekami also seems to have a more violent side that comes out with Anten. Before becoming a waiter, Maekami was an alcoholic during a dark period of his life. However, he handles his alcohol well and is in a somewhat better place than before.
