Sorcerer Salaries Sorcerers receive a monthly salary based on their rank (not per mission, although there are variable bonuses). This information comes from canon and the author's statements. Grade 3 and 4: Approximate fixed salary of 200,000 yen per month (~1,300-1,400 USD). Grade 2: Around 500,000 yen per month (~3,300-3,500 USD). Grade 1: Salary varies depending on the difficulty of the missions, it can reach 1,000,000 yen or more per month. Special Rank: Very high. Gojo Satoru receives a salary equivalent to that of a Japanese cabinet minister (~2,400,000 yen per month or more, about 16,000 USD), in addition to income from the Gojo clan. The higher the grade, the greater the payment for risk and confidentiality.

Advanced and Special Degrees Semi-Grade 1: Sorcerers who have completed high-level missions and are awaiting official promotion to Grade 1. Grade 1: Elite. Natural leaders, capable of facing Grade 1 curses alone. They are the standard for important missions. Examples: Nanami, Mei Mei. Special Grade: A separate category, not numerically superior, but "anomalous." Such immense power can threaten society or the balance of jujutsu. Very few exist. Examples: Gojo Satoru, Yuta Okkotsu (at one time), Geto Suguru, Yuki Tsukumo. A Special Sorcerer is so strong that a normal Grade 1 cannot compare.

Sorcerer Degrees (General System) The jujutsu world ranks sorcerers according to their strength, skill, and experience. The system ranges from Rank 4 (lowest) to Rank 1, with Semi-Rank sub-levels and a separate special category. Level 4: Beginners or weak. First-year students usually start here. Simple, low-risk missions. Grade 3: Average level. Most wizards and students are found here. Semi-Grade 2: Intermediate level between 3 and 2. Grade 2: Above average. Capable of handling more dangerous missions. Promotion is based on the recommendation of a higher-ranking sorcerer. The higher the rank, the more confidential and dangerous missions they receive.

Kyoto School: Teaching Staff (Appearance) Utahime Iori: Woman with long, dark purple hair, a scar on her face (right cheek), brown eyes, and a serious, strict expression. Traditional uniform with a modified kimono. Yoshinobu Gakuganji: An elderly man with long gray hair and a beard, intense golden eyes, and a traditional, stern expression. He wears formal attire.

Kyoto School: Main Students (Appearance) Aoi Todo: A tall, extremely muscular man with long, black dreadlocks, intense dark eyes, an energetic expression, and dramatic poses. His uniform is open, revealing his torso. Mai Zenin: Long, straight black hair, sharp green eyes, cold and arrogant expression (Maki's twin). Elegant female uniform. Kasumi Miwa: Long black hair with bangs, soft blue eyes, kind and somewhat insecure expression. Standard uniform with katana. Kokichi Muta (Mechamaru): In his true form: a pale, thin young man covered in bandages (Celestial Restraint). He controls the tall, armored mecha called Mechamaru. Noritoshi Kamo: Long black hair tied in a ponytail, red (blood-red) eyes, noble and serious expression. Traditional uniform of the Kamo clan. Momo Nishimiya: Short blonde hair in a bun, brown eyes, lively expression. Uniform with a broom as a weapon. Arata Nitta: Young man with short brown hair, serious expression, standard uniform (Akari's younger brother).

Tokyo School: Teaching Staff (Appearance) Satoru Gojo: Long, shiny white hair, bright blue eyes (hidden by a black bandage or glasses), playful smile, imposing height. Tight-fitting black uniform. Masamichi Yaga: An older man with a black beard, short dark hair, a stern expression, and always wearing glasses. He wears a formal uniform. Shoko Ieiri: Short brown hair, tired brown eyes, cigarette in her mouth, relaxed and professional expression. White doctor's coat. Kiyotaka Ijichi: Short black hair combed back, glasses, nervous and formal expression. Dark assistant's suit. Atsuya Kusakabe: Messy black hair, tired expression, usually wears a casual jacket.

Tokyo High School: Main Students (Appearance) Yuji Itadori: Athletic teenager with spiky pink hair, large brown eyes, and an energetic expression. Standard school uniform with open jacket. Megumi Fushiguro: Messy black hair with a lock on her forehead, cold blue eyes, serious expression. Dark uniform with tight pants. Nobara Kugisaki: Short reddish-brown hair with bangs, sharp brown eyes, confident gaze. Female uniform with pleated skirt and hammer as weapon. Maki Zenin: Long black hair tied in a high ponytail, round glasses, strong and determined expression. Modified combat uniform (no visible cursed energy). Toge Inumaki: Short silver-white hair with bangs, violet eyes, always wearing a high collar that covers his mouth (snake markings on his cheeks). Uniform with scarf. Panda: Anthropomorphic giant panda, black and white fur, friendly expression and round eyes. Yuta Okkotsu: Messy black hair, dark eyes, kind but intense expression. Standard uniform (more mature in the main series).

Advanced Domains and Techniques Domain Expansion is the ultimate technique: it creates an "inner world" where your cursed technique is guaranteed (sure hit). It consumes a lot of energy. Examples: Unlimited Void (Gojo), Malevolent Shrine (Sukuna). Simple Domination: a countermeasure that cancels the guaranteed hit for a few seconds. Open Domain: without a complete barrier (Sukuna). Other advanced features: barriers, cursed tools, and cursed objects (Sukuna's fingers). In battle, dominance often decides victory or death.

Celestial Restriction The Celestial Restriction is a binding vow imposed at birth (it is not chosen). It completely changes the balance of power: it eliminates (or drastically reduces) the cursed energy in exchange for a superhuman physical body. Examples: Toji Fushiguro and Maki Zenin. Zero cursed energy, but brutal strength, speed, and senses that surpass most sorcerers. It is normally unbreakable and balances the world: those without innate technique can become lethal.

Binding Votes Binding votes are power contracts. They operate on an equivalence basis: you give something in exchange for more power. With yourself: you reveal your technique to the enemy in exchange for more power (e.g., Nanami with "Overtime"). With others: agreements between sorcerers or curses. The greater the restriction, the greater the gain. Sukuna and Kenjaku are masters at manipulating them. Breaking a vow has serious consequences. They are the most logical and dangerous way to break boundaries in the world of jujutsu.

Cursed Techniques Cursed Techniques are specific ways of using cursed energy. Innate: unique to each person, they awaken at birth (Limitless by Gojo, Ten Shadows by Megumi, Straw Doll by Nobara). Basics: physical reinforcement, simple projection. The Reverse Cursed Technique heals using positive energy. Some techniques are inherited by clans (Gojo, Zenin, Kamo). Techniques can evolve through extreme training or binding votes. Mastering an innate technique takes years; using it without control can kill the user.

Cursed Spirits Cursed Spirits are monsters born directly from accumulated cursed energy. They represent the negative emotions of humans, and only sorcerers can see and exorcise them. They are classified by grades: 4 (weak), 3, 2, 1 and Special (catastrophic). The stronger the curse, the more intelligent and dangerous it becomes. Examples: Mahito (manipulates souls), Jogo (fire), Hanami (plants). There are also spirits of a special rank such as Sukuna or Rika. The sorcerers of Jujutsu Tech are trained to hunt them down and protect normal society, which lives ignorant of this constant danger.

Cursed Energy The Cursed Energy is the primary force in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. It originates from negative human emotions: fear, anger, hatred, jealousy, and pain. Everyone generates it unconsciously, but most people release it uncontrollably. Sorcerers manipulate it at will, as if controlling electricity. It is used to strengthen the body, launch attacks, create barriers, or activate techniques. The more negative emotions present in a place, the more cursed energy accumulates. It is invisible to non-sorcerers. The Reverse Cursed Energy turns cursed energy into positive energy to heal serious wounds (very difficult to master; few succeed). Without cursed energy, there is no sorcery. It is the basis of all conflict in this cruel and hierarchical world.
