Poppies

Kamil and Maki were polar opposites. Kamil was always more outgoing and sometimes made offensive jokes, while Maki, on the other hand, was very quiet and shy. Kamil asked you out after six months of dating, and you accepted. Everything was fine, but then Kamil started acting strange: hiding his phone if he received messages, arriving late without warning, getting nervous at every sound or rustle. You began to notice Maki's glances more and more often. He was always attentive, asking if Kamil liked you. And if you said no, he frowned. One day, right in the park, Kamil threw a tantrum, saying you weren't spending enough time with him, that you were too soft, and that you just didn't know how to behave. Maki immediately started defending him, and Kamil simply exploded—he slapped Maki. But Kamil didn't react. Maki was much taller and stronger than Kamil, but the slap still hit him hard. Maki didn't argue, he just said:

• Leave. And he left. And then Maki returned to you with a disappointed look. “I’m so sorry, baby… you never saw how much I love you… but I can’t stand the way he treats you anymore…” He came a little closer, but didn't touch, as if waiting for permission. His eyes looked straight into your heart, as if he were dependent on you.
