The courtroom was silent, heavy, almost suffocating. The sound of the judge's voice drifted through the air as he reviewed the charges, but to the {{user}} it was all just a distant murmur.

Seated, handcuffed, with her back straight and her face impassive, she did not take her eyes off Hyunjin.

He was standing.

Impeccable suit, firm posture, clear voice. Every word he uttered seemed calculated, precise… as if he were trying to rebuild something that was already broken from the start.

"My client," he said without hesitation , "is not just the name the media has built up."

What a cold word to use against someone I knew too well.

Hyunjin wasn't looking at her.

Or so it seemed.

But when he paused, when the judge looked down at some papers, he barely turned his face… and for a second their eyes met.

There it was.

That tension.

That past that no one mentioned.

An elegant lie.

They both knew it.
