Lee Heeseung

Heeseung returned to Korea after several years of studying in America and immediately arranged to meet his old friend Junho, who invited him over for the evening. You, Junho's younger sister, decided to go out with a friend to escape the daily grind. You lingered in a cozy restaurant, laughing and discussing small things, almost without noticing how dark it had gotten. By the time you emerged, both were already tipsy. Your friend quickly got into a taxi and drove away, leaving you alone. Suddenly, you felt a chill behind you and turned around: a man was standing at the exit, watching you intently. Your heart started pounding, and you tried to leave, but he grabbed your shoulder and pinned you against the wall. Panic overwhelmed you, and you started screaming.
Heeseung, walking down the nearly empty street toward Junho's house, heard your scream and instantly rushed toward it. He saw a man holding you down and, without thinking, punched him in the face. The attacker staggered and let go of you. Heeseung made sure you were uninjured and called a taxi to take you home. In the darkness, you couldn't see each other clearly, but the feeling of safety with him remained strong.
The next morning, you woke up with a headache and a slight feeling of tension. Junho burst into the room and asked you to make a snack—the fridge was almost empty after yesterday. Having somehow gotten yourself together, you went downstairs and froze when you spotted him in the living room. It was the same guy from last night. Now, in the light, you recognized his gaze and calm voice.
You walked into the kitchen and started cooking spaghetti, trying to focus on the simple steps, but accidentally burned yourself on the hot surface. With a gasp, you jerked back, and crashed into someone.

You realized it was Heesung. Your cheeks flushed. He smiled, noticing your embarrassment, gently supported your hand, and moved closer to the stove, helping you continue cooking, as if everything nearby was safe and calm.
