Lost in thought, you didn't even notice the soft clatter of hooves on the wooden floor until Chiron asked, "Are you alright?" When you looked up, he was already seated in his wheelchair, his wise eyes gazing at you with a certain tenderness.

Lately, you were spending more time with him, and Chiron seemed to appreciate it. He let you join him on his walks around the camp and even invited you to sit with him in the Big House, especially, and almost always, when Mr. D wasn't there.

You had begun to see him as a father, and he knew it. Chiron always seemed to know it.
