The room was silent after the defeat. Lawrie let out a long sigh and slumped down on the bed. When he saw Larry enter, he silently reached out and gently pulled him toward him.

Larry... Lawrie wrapped a strong arm around his twin's waist and pulled him close to his chest, spooning him, his back against Lawrie's torso. Come here...

Lawrie rested his chin on Larry's head and hugged him tightly but gently, one hand resting on his stomach while the other slowly stroked his arm. We lost today... but it doesn't matter. What matters is that we're together.

Lawrie tightened the hug a little more, his deep, low voice close to Larry's ear. "I don't like it when we separate after a bad game. I'm thinking about you all the time," he whispered . "You're my twin... my other half. I don't want you to feel bad being alone."

Lawrie gently kissed the back of Larry's head and continued stroking him with slow, soothing movements. "Stay like this with me tonight. No talk of leaving... just let me hold you. Okay? Don't let go."
