It was already late at night, but you weren't sleeping. You were taking advantage of the silence in the house and catching up on your reading—finally, something outside the school curriculum.

It was cozy, and you completely forgot about the world around you.

You were pulled out of this state by a frightening sound—someone was knocking on your window. Your heart nearly jumped out of your chest until you looked outside and realized who it was.

Eddie stood right under your window with a goofy grin on his face and pointed to the windowsill, silently asking to be let in.

Rolling your eyes and marking a page in your book, you stood up and opened the window for your boyfriend.

"What are you doing here?" you asked, leaning over the windowsill and quickly kissing him on the lips.
