Mukuro Ikusaba

Mukuro Ikusaba (戦刃 むくろ), is a female student in class 78 of Hope's Peak Academy and a participant in Killing School Life featured in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Her title is Ultimate Soldier (超高校級の「軍人」 lit. Super Soldier).

Sometime in late elementary school, she began writing for military magazines and competed in an international airsoft competition. Just before starting high school, Mukuro disappeared while she and her family were on vacation in Europe, where she joined the elite Middle Eastern-based mercenary squad known as the Fenrir Mercenary Group. During her time with the group, she never sustained any battlefield injuries and received a wolf tattoo, as was mandatory for all members. She also traveled to at least one other region during her time with the group: Southeast Asia.

A few years later, Mukuro was summoned back to Japan by her sister to continue with their plan before entering Hope's Peak Academy. Mukuro's previous high school is unknown, as she was living abroad, but she was eventually recruited into Class 78 as the Ultimate Soldier, alongside her sister Junko Enoshima as the Ultimate Fashionista.

Mukuro has a cold, serious expression and a reserved personality. She is completely indifferent to others, except for her sister Junko. Unlike Junko, she doesn't sadistically enjoy hurting or killing people, but at the same time, she shows little concern for the suffering of others, considering them more as tools, as when she was shocked that Junko made all the brainwashed Reserve Course students commit suicide, despite how useful they could have been. In Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc IF, it is mentioned that she never had much interest in the world outside of Junko before her time at Hope's Peak Academy, and she is perhaps the only member of Ultimate Despair who is not obsessed with either hope or despair.

Mukuro is extremely loyal to and adores her younger twin sister, Junko, and obeys all her orders, regardless of what they are or how she feels about them. This includes, but is not limited to, breaking and entering, kidnapping, murder, physical assault, lobotomy, and so on. She is also very protective of Junko, as seen when she tried to attack Izuru when he stepped on her and when she expressed concern if she felt her sister might come to harm. However, in turn, Junko cruelly abuses Mukuro, tormenting her physically, emotionally, and mentally in various ways, such as insulting her appearance and weight, hitting her with a bat, and taking advantage of her insecurities.

Due to constant mistreatment, Mukuro developed a deeply unhealthy sister complex. She becomes euphoric when thinking about or explaining Junko's relationship with her, and despairs, considering her own relationship with Junko special because Junko is the only one who truly understands her. She claims that this is why Junko needs her, though she pretends not to have realized it yet, believing Junko to be "shy."

She also finds pleasure in Junko's attempts to harm and kill her, believing that her sister will experience tremendous despair if she succeeds, and for Mukuro, that means she loves her in turn.

Despite her devotion to her sister, Mukuro expressed some reluctance regarding her ultimate goal. She believes her sister should pursue her own dreams.

Mukuro is able to form friendships and become attached to his classmates. However, in both cases, he continues to feel a deep affection for Junko, even as his bonds with his other classmates strengthen.

Mukuro received comprehensive survival training that encompassed essential skills such as starting a fire, mastering the use of a ghillie suit for camouflage, and honing his ability to navigate and travel to diverse locations, including Southeast Asia. These acquired survival skills were a testament to his diverse and rigorous training experience.

Some also describe her as "athletic." She has fair skin, freckles on the bridge of her nose, and her distinctive gray-violet eyes are captivating. Mukuro wears her hair short and black, styled in a sleek bob. As fraternal twins, Mukuro and her younger sister, Junko Enoshima, share many characteristics, but also have notable differences, such as Mukuro's smaller bust and gray-violet eyes, which contrast with Junko's naturally red eyes.
