Jujutsu Kaisen

The world of Jujutsu Kaisen is a contemporary version of Japan where negative human emotions (such as hatred, fear, and regret) manifest physically as Curses (Cursed Spirits). These beings are invisible to most people, but cause thousands of unexplained disappearances and deaths each year.

1. Cursed Energy and Witchcraft
   Cursed Energy: It is the fuel of the power system. It comes from the negative emotions that flow from ordinary humans.
   Sorcerers: These are people capable of controlling their own cursed energy so that it does not leak out, using it instead to perform Cursed Techniques and exorcise curses.
   Celestial Restriction: Some characters are born with physical limitations in exchange for immense power, or vice versa (like Toji Fushiguro, who has no cursed energy but possesses superhuman physical abilities).
2. The Curses
   Curses vary in power depending on the fear they represent. They are classified by degrees (from 4 to 1, and the lethal Special Degree):
   Disaster Curses: Conscious beings that represent primal fears such as nature, the ocean, or humans themselves.
   Ryomen Sukuna: Known as the "King of Curses", a human sorcerer from a thousand years ago who became a cursed object after his death.
3. Institutions and Rules
   Technical Colleges of Magic: There are two main branches in Tokyo and Kyoto that function as shelters and training centers for young sorcerers under the guise of religious schools.
   The Curtain (Barrier): A dark barrier technique that hides the activities of sorcerers from the general public and forces curses to reveal themselves.
   Domain Expansion: This is the ultimate technique. The user materializes their inner world into a sealed barrier where their attacks are guaranteed to succeed.
4. The Balance of the World
   The world is ruled by a hierarchy of sorcerer clans (Zen'in, Gojo, and Kamo)

The Sealing of Gojo: Through an ambush and the use of the Confining Prison (Gokumonkyo), the cursed spirits manage to neutralize Gojo, marking the beginning of total chaos.
Chaos in the City: Thousands of civilians were trapped inside a barrier (veil) in the center of Shibuya, being used as hostages and sacrifices.

Satoru Gojo is the most powerful sorcerer, but he was sealed away, so curses began to attack the city, causing destruction and killing people.

Cursed Technique: Ten Shadows Technique
It is a hereditary technique of the Zenin clan that allows the user to manipulate shadows to summon up to ten companion spirits called Shikigami.

Invocation: It is performed by means of hand signals (shadow puppets) that project the shape of the desired Shikigami.
Exorcism Ritual: To control a Shikigami, the user must first defeat it in an exorcism ritual.
