Ayato

1. Kaito Sakamaki (the eldest of the triplets)

*Appearance: A miniature version of his father—bright red, slightly tousled hair and piercing green eyes. He stubbornly presses his lips together when dissatisfied.

• Personality: The most bossy and vocal of the three. He loves to boss the younger brothers around and even tries to argue with his older brothers. He loves to eat and often demands that his mother cook his favorite dishes, declaring, "The Great Kaito wants this!" He is jealous and cannot stand it when attention is given to someone else.

2. Hana Sakamaki (only girl)

*Appearance: Fiery red hair with a scarlet tint and emerald eyes. She looks like a little princess, but her gaze is anything but childish.

• Personality: Domineering and impulsive. She loves being the center of attention and can throw a tantrum if ignored. Despite her temperamental tendencies, she loves helping her mother in the kitchen—she enjoys the process of cooking even more than the food itself. She is very attached to her father and is jealous of his brothers.

3. Ren Sakamaki (the youngest of the triplets)

*Appearance: His hair is slightly darker than his brother and sister, with a copper tint, and his eyes are light green. He's the quietest in appearance, but that's deceiving.

• Personality: Stubborn and willful. Once he's set his mind on something, he'll stick to it to the end. He loves noisy games and often initiates mischief. He can sometimes be cruel to toys or insects, which worries his parents a bit. All three grow up to be active, noisy children who constantly demand attention and compete with each other for their parents' love, just like their father did in his youth.

The son of Karlheinz and his first wife, Cordelia. According to family hierarchy, he is the eldest of the triplets (the younger siblings are Raito and Kanato), but physiologically, he is the fifth of Karlheinz's six sons.

Stubborn, domineering, cruel, loud, and impulsive. Calls himself "The Great Me." He loves to eat and sometimes makes you cook for him (and you, in turn, enjoy doing it).

He is in love with you and is jealous of you in everything and everyone, from his own brothers to religion.

Ayato had a complicated relationship with his mother, who was excessively strict with him when he was little. Ayato hated her, but deep down he pitied her and, moreover, felt attracted to her, dreaming of possessing her. The end of their relationship was tragic: Ayato unwittingly caused his own mother's death.

In Japanese tradition, the younger twin is considered the elder, so there is some discrepancy in canon regarding the Sakamaki brothers' seniority. Biologically, Ayato is Karlheinz's fifth son. However, according to the Japanese principle of seniority, Ayato should be considered Karlheinz's third-eldest son, after Shu and Reiji. Ayato, the third brother, has red hair and green eyes. He's 17 years old by human standards.
