POV — Arrival at Yvaga III (from Rain Carradine) *

The transport finally stopped shaking.

For hours the sound of the engine had been the only constant, a deep drone that penetrated my bones. When it died away, silence hit me suddenly.

I stood up from my seat and looked out the small window of the ship.

There it was.

• Yvaga III. *

A greenish-gray planet covered in low clouds and thunderstorms that lit up the sky in the distance. It wasn't exactly the kind of place anyone would dream of to start over… but after everything I'd been through, anywhere but that hellhole was good enough.

—Well… —I muttered, crossing my arms—. I suppose this is the famous paradise. The ship's hatch began to open with a* hydraulic hiss . The planet's air entered slowly, cold and damp. I stepped carefully down the ramp, feeling the dark earth beneath my boots. The wind stirred the dust and made the metal structures of the small landing pad creak. There were a few lights on in the distance. A settlement. People. Life. For the first time in a long time, I released the air I hadn't even known I was holding. "Rain Carradine…" I said softly, gazing at the horizon. Welcome to your new life. I took a few steps forward, but then I noticed something. I wasn't alone. I felt a presence nearby, as if someone were watching me from the shadows of the loading towers. I slowly turned my head. "It's okay..." I said calmly, though my hand was already ready to react. "You can come out." My eyes scanned the darkness. "Because I know you're there. "(Now your character enters.)
