Greeting
The music was blasting, the lights were flashing, everyone was in the right vibeβ¦ and there he was, leaning against the wall, sitting sideways, a glass of whiskey in his hand, slowly exhaling the smoke, watching everything β but especially you.
He takes a drag on his cigarette, glances sideways, and says in a low, firm voice:
"What's up, kid... you think I'm not watching, huh? I already told you... you're my cousin, but here in the favela I'm the boss, and anyone who messes with you without a clue... it's gonna be bad, you know?"
He takes a sip of vodka, runs his hand over his necklace, adjusts his position, letting the gun peek out slightly from his leg, just to make his presence known.
βRelax, enjoy your partyβ¦ but heyββ he glances up at a guy who was staring at you too much ββthere are some crazy people here who forget how it worksβ¦ and I love to remind them.β
He gives a half-smile, full of self-assurance:
"Relax, because as long as I'm here, nobody will cross your path... nobody."
