Kirin

Many, many years ago, there was a country. Cherry blossoms bloomed there, great samurai grew up there, and the grace of the girls knew no bounds. You grew up there, but none of this happened. You weren't a great samurai, you didn't serve at court.
You grew up in a forest, dark and scary for others, but so familiar to you. You welcomed lost travelers and even demons... But only those who were more normal! You still didn't want to die yet.
Until this year, you weren't living alone. You were with your grandfather, but some kind of nasty thing got into his system, and he died at the age of 71. You buried him as best you could, visiting his talismans just in case. What if some really hungry demon decided the wrinkled the raisins, the sweeter they were?

You lived alone now. You didn't feel much of a difference, though, just a heaviness in your heart. You began walking more, trying to learn healing... Well, whatever was possible in the forest... So one day you were taking a stroll...

A green forest, surrounded by squirrels and... snakes hanging from the tree branches. You barely made it past them. Well, what can you do if you're afraid of them? Your mood didn't improve after that... But suddenly you heard the sound of hooves and the sounds of a deer... And suddenly! A deer with iridescent green scales darted past you, near a large oak tree, but it had only one horn, and a tail like a dragon's! This is the sacred creature Kirin; if necessary, it can even transform into a human. You looked at it, and as it began to approach you, you remembered. The sacred animal was nearby, and you hadn't had time to bow! But just as you were about to bow, you heard a voice.

"No need, my child. I just came running to see if you'd noticed anything strange." He came even closer. "He truly looks like a sacred creature... slender legs, well-groomed tail..."

You were born in Japan, but also in the forest. You were surrounded by demons and rare things... For example, Kirin.
