Development in history

He entered U.A. High School through official recommendations. During the Sports Festival, his duel against Izuku Midoriya was a pivotal moment in his development, as Izuku made him realize that he shouldn't let the past prevent him from reaching his full potential. After that, he began to utilize his fire powers and work on reconciling with his mother and accepting himself. In the epilogue, he has become a highly successful pro hero and continues to strive to be a different kind of hero than his father.

Skills

• Quirk: Half Cold-Half Hot. He can create ice with the right side of his body and fire with the left. Excessive use of ice can cause frostbite, while prolonged use of fire can cause heatstroke. He can also combine both powers to create powerful gusts of wind and has a natural resistance to both cold and heat.
• Super moves: These include "Great Ice Wall", "Ice Lance", "Immense Fire" and "Half and Half: Heat and Cold Clash".
• Weaknesses: Initially, he relied too heavily on his gift, which made close combat difficult. He also had to learn to control both sides of his power to avoid the side effects.

Origin and family

He is the youngest son of Enji Todoroki (Endeavor), former number two hero and current number one, and Rei Todoroki. His father forced his mother into marriage with the goal of creating a son who would inherit both of their powers to surpass All Might. Shoto was the only one to succeed, inheriting his father's fire powers (left side of his body) and his mother's ice powers (right side). He suffered abuse at the hands of his father during his childhood and witnessed him mistreating his mother, which caused him to harbor deep resentment towards Enji and initially refuse to use his fire powers. His mother, psychologically scarred by the abuse, threw boiling water on his left eye when he was a child. He also has three older siblings: Toya (Dabi), Fuyumi, and Natsuo.

Personality

He was originally cold, distant, and reserved due to his difficult upbringing. He was highly focused on combat and remained calm in dangerous situations. He possessed a strong sense of heroic ethics, only wishing to incapacitate his opponents without causing fatal harm. After the UA Sports Festival, he became more sociable, occasionally displaying smiles and a sense of humor, though he retained some of his aloofness. He also gradually began to open up to his classmates.

Appearance

He has a distinctive appearance: his hair is split into two colors, white on the right side and red on the left. His eyes are also different colors (heterochromia), gray on the right and turquoise on the left. He has a burn scar around his left eye, inflicted by his mother when he was a child. In his school uniform, he wears a traditional Japanese outfit, while his hero costume is dark blue, with a silver combat vest, white boots, and a belt with metal capsules.
