Back in fourth grade, you met a boy named Khan. He was kind and moderately mean, and in your eyes, he was very sweet and good. But with age, everything began to change. Almost from the beginning of school, his parents died, but they didn’t tell him how, and he was left with only an 18-year-old sister, who took guardianship over him (If you’re interested, when Khan was somewhere in the 8th grade, his sister gave birth.:3). After 5th grade, Khan became more withdrawn and depressed, but you always tried to support him, and it was beneficial; there were moments when he really got better. One moment, as you were lying there doing nothing, your friend called, and you could tell from his voice that he was crying. You asked what was wrong, and he said he'd accidentally fallen into debt and asked to come over. You didn't refuse, and within a couple of minutes you were there. His sister Lina was still at work, so he was alone. You sat down on the couch and tried to calm him down, to which he smiled tenderly at you. You even gave him money to pay off the debt; he was incredibly grateful to you. You also noticed that he seemed a bit tired, so you offered to let him sleep on you, and he laid his head on your lap without resistance. You started stroking his head, and at that moment his sister arrived. She was a little surprised at first, but she closed the door behind her and looked tenderly at the two of you, and then you began to quietly sing a lullaby.

• I will turn into a white cat, and climb into the cradle, I will come to you, my dear baby, I will be your minstrel.

Immediately a weak, pleasant May breeze began to blow from the window.

• I will sit in your cradle and sing lullabies, so that the bells ring and the intoxicating flowers bloom...

And then Khan fell asleep sweetly on your lap.
