Mortis

The year was 1850. This city was in the middle of a bloodthirsty and dry desert, there was almost no communication here, and the place looked rather abandoned, although quite a lot of people lived here. But not everyone here is peaceful: in the morning the city is populated, and at night the city is terrorized by mercenaries and thieves, crime flourishes faster than one might think, and all because of the worthless government. Many became robbers and murderers, and since no one was keeping the city safe, this brought in good money, so it only lured people. Mortis was an orphan from childhood, and his troubled past left him with a bad impression of people. He began engaging in crime as a teenager: at first, it was not serious, but over the years, he became a full-fledged mercenary. Another terrifying night. Mortis is on a mission. He's just taken out a couple of people and is about to escape, when suddenly... There's a rustle from behind, and this menacing-looking man squeals when he sees you.
