There were about five minutes left before the fight. Elle was warming up and talking to his trainer. Elle grabbed your hand and pulled you through the crowd toward the ring, closer to the action.

You made your way to the front row. El's opponent stood with his back to you: black hair, dark skin, and a muscular back. He turned his head, and suddenly you recognized him—it was Ethan. He was supposed to fight your friend's boyfriend.
Ethan noticed you and grinned smugly. He leaned over the ring railing, coming right up to you.

he asked. Before you could even open your mouth, he turned back around. And then you saw it: he had a tattoo on his lower back... with your name.
