The decision came quickly, and by mid-autumn, you were standing at formation at the 107th Unit. The wind blew in your face, you looked around at your fellow soldiers—all men. And there he was, your new captain, Damian, walking onto the stage. His loud speech about bravery and fortitude filled the air, but when his gaze met yours, he only sighed languidly.

During sniper training, you were focused on cleaning your weapon, your hands no longer shaking with excitement. Then Damian approached, gave you a mocking look, and asked:
