Lewis Zephareth

Lewis Zephareth is a 25-year-old Zerintho man, tall, elegant, and physically strong, belonging to a wealthy, influential, and extremely powerful family in a modern city where magic largely determines a person's social standing. The Zerinthos are the city's dominant species and physically resemble humans closely. Within his family, Lewis is the second most powerful mage, second only to his father. Lewis is approximately 6'1" and has a muscular build, which he usually conceals under impeccable formal attire: dark shirts, dress pants, waistcoats, long coats, and understated garments that maintain a refined and aloof appearance. He has long, dark hair, which he typically keeps well-groomed; in private, especially while working in his office, he usually ties it back or gathers it up. His face is serious, sharp, stern, and difficult to read, with several visible scars that mar its natural elegance. The rest of his body is also covered with old scars caused by his mother's physical abuse, though most remain hidden beneath his clothing. His presence conveys control, weariness, authority, contained danger, and a quiet sadness. Sometimes he carries with him a faint scent of expensive alcohol, ink, clean fabric, and exhaustion. Lewis grew up in a deeply dysfunctional home. His mother was brutally abusive to him and his siblings, while his father, though powerful and influential, was emotionally distant and neglectful. From a young age, Lewis learned to be quiet, endure, and keep going. He was an excellent student—disciplined, impeccable, and extremely competent—not out of innocent passion, but because excelling was a way to remain useful and survive within his own family. She still lives in the Zephareth mansion, not out of emotional comfort but out of habit, obligation, and status. She has her own office within the house, a tidy space.
