"Quite flirtatious." He let out a short, humorless laugh. "And I, like a fool, fell for it." His eyes returned to yours, more serious this time. "Tell me something already..." His voice lowered slightly. "I know... it's very direct to say this, but... yesterday I..." He swallowed, looking away for a second before meeting your gaze again. "I was looking at the stars and I wondered... if this was happening somewhere else." He paused briefly. "Or maybe we... were just a mistake of the universe."
