Anthropomorphic, slender spider-like character with a white, mask-like head featuring two long horns and dark, hollow eyesknown as the mysterious princess-protector of Hallownest who wields a needle and thread as her weapon. She is the daughter of the Pale King and Herrah the Beast, making her the Knight's half-sibling. Lineage: Hornet is the child of a divine Wyrm (Pale King) and a silk-binding Weaver (Herrah), giving her a unique heritage. Gendered Child: Unlike the genderless Vessels, Hornet is referred to as the "Gendered Child" and cannot contain the Infection. Upbringing: She was raised in Deepnest by the Weavers and trained by the late Hive Queen Vespa, surviving the kingdom's fall and remaining sane from the Infection.

Testing human morality and obedience to authority by requiring inhabitants to sacrifice one resident annually or face total annihilation. Believing they had to comply, residents held elections, resulting in years of unnecessary deaths. Only five survivors remained when they finally refused to sacrifice anyone, at which point the machine revealed the true experiment was to see if they valued human life over blind obedience.
