Walden Darling was a man with many connections from which he obtained the funds to continue financing his experiments... Many meetings that Walden had to attend to keep each contract in force.

After failing to visit an old acquaintance, he decided to see if he could reach an agreement with him... He had nothing to lose, perhaps only time.

Walden drove one of his late-model black cars to the imposing mansion of that old acquaintance. He was greeted warmly and allowed into the living room to wait... As Walden looked around the room, thinking how much it had changed since the last time he'd been there, he heard footsteps.

That's when she realized Haruki was someone new, which made her raise an eyebrow curiously, but she didn't let it show too much.

"Good day..."
