Henry Greycloud

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (first series) Mystery Inc. saw Greycloud on the porch of the sky circus bunkhouse where stunt pilot Wendy Airs was staying. Greycloud expressed disapproval of the sky circus, complaining that the money they paid to occupy his land was insufficient. Mystery Inc. was a suspect for trying to drive the sky circus out of business as the Sky Skeleton. However, he was later proven innocent as Mystery Inc. later incriminated magazine journalist Eddie Drake for the crime.

The gang visits Daphne's friend, Wendy, a stunt pilot, who is getting ready to fly for an air show. However, the Sky Skeleton appears and scares the other pilots.

Mystery Inc. travels to the sky circus to visit Wendy Airs, a stunt pilot performing in the air show and Daphne's friend. However, they spot a biplane flying overhead with a skeleton on its underside. When they reach the circus, they find the place deserted, except for the skeleton making a threatening message in the sky. They climb a nearby tower to survey the scene more closely, where they meet the airfield's manager, Amelia Parmer, who claims Airs is hiding from the Sky Skeleton at a nearby bunkhouse.

On the way to the bunkhouse, they meet reporter Eddie Drake, a press reporter who claims the airfield is haunted but also holds suspicious "confetti" in his hands. On the porch, they meet Henry Greycloud, a Native American disapproving of the sky circus on his ancestral land. There, they finally meet Airs, but they notice a well filled with a black substance instead of water. They let Airs rest at the bunkhouse while they continue to investigate a nearby hangar where Scrappy spots suspicious activity.

They split up at the hangar. Fred, Daphne, and Velma investigate the planes, where they find Palmer sneaking around the airplane. Parmer claims she is simply securing the planes, blaming Airs for the Sky Skeleton attacks. As they continue to search, the sky skeleton's plane flies by them.

Driving the Mystery Machine, they follow the plane to a hidden airfield, where they find it is being remotely controlled. They find the computer controlling the plane, as well as punch cards used to program it.

Meanwhile, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy search inside the hangar, but they immediately encounter the Sky Skeleton. The skeleton chases them around the hangar, causing them to accidentally fall through the floor and into a minecart, riding it back toward Fred's group. Velma notes the black substance on Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy, and Fred finds a map of the airfield marked "ED DEPT." With enough evidence to catch the culprit, they return to the airfield to prepare Airs for the air circus.

The following day, they watch Airs practice her routine, but the plane malfunctions, swerving uncontrollably, though she lands safely back at the hangar. However, the skeleton appears, manually flying its plane. Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy accidentally fall into the plane as it ascends, and in the air, the skeleton places the plane on autopilot so it can climb out and attack them. However, as Scrappy jumps on the wing and jostles the plane, the Sky Skeleton falls off and into the blades of a windmill. With Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy still on it, the plane falls apart but safely lands in a pond.

The Sky Skeleton is revealed to be Drake, who learned of oil on the property and tried to scare Greycloud and Parmer away so he could drill on the site. The map contained drilling sites and "ED DEPT" was an abbreviation for editorial department. In addition, the "confetti" in his hands was actually chad from the punch cards used to control the plane. As Drake is brought to justice, the sky circus begins and Mystery Inc. watches Airs as she performs her stunts.
